Whatever your music genre is, its time to rock in the Upstate. Summer is here and concerts are rolling into high gear with rock, jazz, classical selections, something for everybody.
Music is all over the map in Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and Clemson with this free summer music series, offering residents and visitors a chance to experience diverse performances. Each city has its unique flavor, and concerts are held in parks, town squares, and other community spaces.

Greenville County: Free Summer Music Concert Series
Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays, presented by Pepsi, offers live music every Friday night from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at NOMA Square.
Running Fridays through September 26, at 220 N. Main St.
This event offers attendees the opportunity to enjoy live performances in downtown Greenville.
Admission to the Summer Music Concert Series is free.
Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and wraps up at 9:30 p.m., with bands performing two lively sets at 5:50 p.m. and 7:40 p.m.
NOMA Square fills up quickly, so participants who don't plan on arriving early are encouraged to bring their tailgating chairs.

Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive
Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive music series offers live music every Thursday night from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at NOMA Square, located at 20 N. Main St.
This event opens at 5:30 p.m. and closes at 8:30 p.m. Bands play two sets at 5:50 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.
The music series runs on Thursdays until August 28.
According to a press release, more than 45,000 people attend this event annually, making it one of the most popular music series in the region.
The Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive music series provides a vibrant atmosphere for attendees to enjoy performances by local artists right in downtown Greenville.
Admission is free.

Travelers Rest's music series
The 11th Annual Music in the Park Concert Series returns to Travelers Rest on Saturday evenings in May, June, and September.
Enjoy live music and dancing in an open-air amphitheater. At 6 p.m., food trucks will arrive with mouthwatering eats, and the music will kick off at 7 p.m.
Additionally, a beer and wine vendor will serve the best local brews, and attendees are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, and small coolers with snacks and food.

Spartanburg's Music on Main
Music on Main, presented by Piedmont Natural Gas, takes place every Thursday through July in Morgan Square, downtown Spartanburg, at 100 W. Main St.
The music series brings together local talent and community members for a fun and relaxing experience.
Attendees can enjoy a diverse range of musical genres, and admission is complimentary.

According to a press release, Music on Main is a fundraising opportunity for Spartanburg's civic organizations.
Club members volunteer at each Music on Main concert and receive a percentage of sales to support their charities.
Since MOM's inception, over $250,000 has been donated to local civic organizations. Some of the groups who volunteer at Music on Main each year include the Knights of Columbus, Spartanburg Jaycees, Westview Ruritans, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Spartanburg Optimist Club, Divine 9, Sunrise Civitans, and others.
Clemson's summer music series
"On the Ave," hosted by the City of Clemson and Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, will occur on College Avenue every Tuesday through June 24.
This free concert series will feature a diverse range of musical styles, including pop, alternative, country, and classic rock, with performances running from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Attendees can enjoy an exciting lineup of local and regional artists while experiencing a vibrant community atmosphere.
