Greenville County will have 10 new principals for the 2025-2026 school year

There will be 10 new principals for the upcoming 2025-26 school year, according to Greenville County Schools spokesperson Tim Waller.

Here's a list of the principals, their schools, and their backgrounds. The new principals come from within the local district, and some from outside.
Jacqueline Harris-Solomon, Armstrong Elementary School
Jacqueline Harris-Solomon has held multiple leadership roles that have led to her current position.
She currently serves as the principal of the School of Humanities at Juliette Gordon Low Elementary School in Savannah, Georgia.
Harris-Solomon holds an educational leadership certificate from the University of West Georgia, an Education Specialist degree in curriculum, instruction, management, and administration from Nova Southeastern University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from South Carolina State University.
Hunter McLure, Berea Elementary School
Hunter McLure has more than 14 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership.
He currently serves as an assistant principal at Cherrydale Elementary School.
He served as an RTI and OnTrack coordinator at Alexander Elementary and as an assistant principal at West End Elementary in Pickens County.
McClure holds a Doctor of Educational Leadership from North Greenville University, a master's of Administration and Supervision from Anderson University, a master's of Christian Leadership from Liberty University, and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from North Greenville University
Dana Swarzel, League Academy
Dana Swarzel brings more than two decades of experience in education to League Academy.
Swartzel began her career in education as a theater teacher at League Academy, where she was named the school’s 2018-19 Teacher of the Year. She later served as magnet program coordinator at the League and a member of the school leadership team. From 2021 to 2024, she served as an administrative assistant at Sevier Middle School.
In 2024, she returned to the League in her current role as assistant principal.
Swartzel holds a Bachelor of Arts in theater education from Winthrop University, a master’s in educational leadership from Southern Wesleyan University, and a master’s in administration and supervision from Anderson University.
Morgan Warner, Mitchell Road Elementary School
Morgan Warner currently serves as assistant principal at Riley Child Development Center and Ellen Woodside Elementary.
Warner is a graduate of the GCS Aspiring Principal Institute and the Instructional Leader Academy, demonstrating her dedication to professional growth. She holds a master of education degree from Anderson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from USC Upstate.
Sandra Taylor, Blue Ridge Middle School
Sandra Taylor has been a member of the Blue Ridge Middle School leadership team for the past seven years, serving as an assistant principal, and previously worked as an assistant principal at Blue Ridge High School.
She has experience as a science teacher at Northwest Middle, Riverside High, Blue Ridge High, and Travelers Rest High.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Teaching with a major in Biological Sciences from Clemson University, as well as a Master's in Secondary Administration and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Furman University.
Brandon Addy, Ralph Chandler Middle School
Brandon Addy brings more than 20 years of experience in public education.
Addy served as principal of Hickory Tavern School (grades 3K–8) in Laurens County School District 55 for five years, as assistant principal at Laurens District 55 High School, and as instructional coach at Sanders Middle School.
Addy holds a bachelor's in secondary teaching-social studies from Clemson University and a master's in divergent learning from Columbia College and is a graduate of the GCS Aspiring Principal Institute.
She currently serves as assistant principal at Ralph Chandler Middle School.
Towers Rice, Lakeview Middle School
Towers Rice has nearly two decades of experience in education and will be the interim principal at Lakeview.
He's served as assistant principal at R.H. Gettys Middle School in Pickens County, assistant administrator and instructional coach at Woodmont Middle School, and master teacher at LEAD Academy. His experience also includes teaching English at a school in the Navajo Nation and a school in San Francisco.
Rice holds an education specialist degree in school leadership from Furman University, a master’s degree in middle level education from Clemson University, and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and communication studies from Furman University.
Currently serving as assistant principal at Lakeview.
Justin Ludley, Wade Hampton High School
Ludley has previous experience working as a principal for a Greenville County High School.
He spent nine years as the principal of Greer High School.
He has worked in Greenville County Schools since 2006, beginning as a math teacher and coach, then moving into an assistant administrator role in 2012, and ultimately becoming the principal in 2016.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Presbyterian College and both a Master's degree and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Furman University.
Andrew Baker, Greer High School
As a Greer High alumnus, Andrew Baker currently serves as assistant principal.
Baker’s background includes key administrative roles at Carolina High School, Travelers Rest High School, and Berea Middle School.
Baker is a graduate of the GCS Aspiring Principal Institute and has a bachelor's in secondary education, mathematics, and a master's in administration and supervision, both from Clemson University.
April Reece, Hillcrest High School
April Reece is currently an assistant principal at Hillcrest High School and will assume the role of interim principal.
She began her career in public education as a teacher and high school track coach in Laurens 56. Then she joined Greenville County Schools in 2018, where she taught English and served as an instructional coach before moving into administration.
Reese holds a bachelor's in English from Lander University, a master's in teaching from Columbia College, an educational specialist from Furman University, and is a graduate of the GCS Aspiring Principal Institute. Additionally, she serves as an adjunct professor at Greenville Technical College.
