Donnie Littlejohn is ready to lead the Gaffney High School football team

Donnie Littlejohn is quick to say that nobody can replace former coach Dan Jones, the legend.

Sure, Littlejohn said, he’s been coaching the Indians for 23 years under Dan Jones, and he’s ready to take the lead.

But the thought of becoming a legend never entered my mind, Littlejohn said.

His squad and coaching team are ready. The rest will be determined on the field.

Gaffney fans are eager to see their Indians get it on.

The season opener will take place on August 22 against the Independence from Charlotte.
