Brody Fowler goes to the Atlanta Braves

Former Eastside baseball pitcher Brody Fowler of North Greenville was selected 517th overall by the Atlanta Braves in the 17th round of the MLB Draft on July 14.

Fowler, who is a redshirt sophomore from Taylors, can return to North Greenville if he doesn't sign with the Braves.

In 2025, the right-handed Fowler had a 3.33 ERA and 90 strikeouts, with a season-high 10 in one game.


His athleticism is likely his greatest attribute. At 6-foot-7 and 240 pounds, he moves swiftly.


Fowler had a very successful high school career with the Eagles. He was named All-State twice and the 4A Pitcher of the Year as a senior.
