Travelers looking for low-cost trips out of the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport will have some additional choices this year.

Starting on Feb. 13, Allegiant Air will add nonstop flights from GSP to Sarasota (SRQ), Florida.
Allegiant to Florida
Allegiant is a Las Vegas-based airline that specializes in cheap travel. According to the company’s website, Allegiant offers flights from GSP to Sarasota starting at under $50.
Sarasota is on the west coast of Florida, close to numerous beaches. It’s about an hour’s drive to Tampa and a little more than two hours to Disney World.
Breeze Airways flights return
Speaking of Disney World, Breeze Airways will bring back its seasonal route to Orlando International (MCO), beginning in March. Breeze is also a low-cost carrier, and it is offering tickets priced around $50 from GSP to Orlando.
Breeze flies year-round from GSP to Providence (PVD), R.I. and Tampa (TPA). In May, it will again offer seasonal routes to Los Angeles (LAX) and Hartford, Connecticut (BDL).
Southwest adds new route
Southwest Airlines has been an important partner of GSP since 2011. The company flies from GSP to a wide range of destinations – cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Miami, but also Boise, Idaho, Manchester, New Hampshire and the Caribbean.
In 2025, Southwest will offer daily nonstop flights to Houston Hobby (HOU). These were previously weekend-only flights.
When will GSP renovations be completed?
Communications manager Tiffany Cherry said GSP is working to “enhance the airport experience.” She said there’s a new restaurant planned for the airport’s Grand Hall, and GSP recently unveiled a new play area for children.
Construction on a new parking garage and rental car facility is ongoing. Cherry said the project should be completed early this year.
This year should also see the completion of the renovation and expansion of GSP’s Cerulean General Aviation terminal.
Cherry added that GSP will open two additional boarding bridges to allow for greater flexibility in scheduling flights.
GSP expects to see overall growth in 2025. Cherry said airport leaders estimate that the airport will serve more than 3 million passengers this year – up from about 2.9 million in 2024.
