1,200 acre development planned in Anderson County

The news release from Dunean Capital Management said it will include roughly 1,000 new homes, with two-thirds of the units for residents 55 and over. Plans submitted to Anderson County Planning Commission also detail industrial development such as warehouses, institutional development such as medical facilities, schools and churches, and commercial development such as retail and grocery stores.

A 1,250-acre, mixed-use community is being planned in Anderson County.

Anderson Lake will be located just south of Interstate 85 and east of S.C. Highway 81, between Hampton and Welcome roads. The property surrounds the 150-acre Anderson Reservoir. It is being developed by Dunean Capital Management. The property was listed by KDS Caine commercial real estate.

The site is about 20 miles from downtown Greenville and less than 10 miles from downtown Anderson.

“This will be one of the most important projects in Anderson County in decades,” said project leader Gaston Albergotti, CEO of Dunean Capital Management, in a news release. “This rare and incredibly special piece of land deserves more than just progress; it deserves purpose. Anderson Lake will reflect the soul of Anderson County while creating a vibrant new future.”
