Tex-Mex restaurant opening in Taylors, customers will get chance to win burritos for year
Who says there is no free lunch? A new restaurant is holding a grand opening Thursday in Taylors, and someone will win free burritos for an entire year.
A new Tex-Mex restaurant is opening its first Upstate location. Surcheros will hold a grand opening on Thursday, March 6, in the Hampton Village shopping area in Taylors.
Located at 2801 Wade Hampton Blvd, Ste 402, the new South Georgia-based restaurant brand is offering 50 local visitors a chance at free food for an entire year.
On March 6, beginning at 10:30 a.m., guests are invited to check out the new tacos, quesadillas, and burrito franchise by purchasing a menu item and scanning their receipt into the Surcheros mobile app for a chance at winning free Tex-Mex for a year.
The new restaurant in Taylors comes as the restaurant franchise's 39th overall and third storefront in South Carolina.
"Greenville's rapid growth and the vibrant community in our shopping center made Taylors the perfect location for our newest Surcheros," said Mason Tuten, co-owner of Sucheros in Taylors. "We're excited to share our commitment to fresh, healthy food and exceptional guest service with the Taylors-Greenville community."
The restaurant will feature 2,750 square feet of space and look to challenge some of our favorite Tex-Mex establishments for a quick-stop burrito, taco, or quesadilla.

What's on the menu at Surcheros in Taylors?
Surcheros prides itself on customer service, hospitality, and fresh ingredients, which are all at the forefront of its grilled burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and bowl menu options.
Their entrées consist of three proteins: grilled chicken breasts, ground beef, or carnitas and come with a choice of toppings, sides, and sauces.
Surcheros burritos come in 10- and 12-inch sizes, and quesadillas can be ordered in 8- or 10-inch sizes. Smaller portions are available for children under their 'Lil’ Ones' menu option.

Created by Luke and Nicole Christian, the husband-and-wife duo opened this business in 2017 and began franchising restaurants in South Georgia and Florida shortly after.
South Carolina currently hosts two other locations in Beaufort and Columbia, and Taylors will become Surcheros' third in-state storefront.
