SC to Put Statue of a Black Man on Statehouse Lawn

South Carolina made history again: it will build a monument to a black guy. The SC house and Senate unanimously voted to build a monument for Robert Smalls. He would be the first individual Afro-American to have a monument in his honor in the state.
