Approved: 2025 accommodations tax grants

Council approved an amended version of the Accommodation Tax Committee’s 2025 A-Tax recommendations, including:

• Christmas 7s Rugby Tournament — $8,000

• Greer Christmas Parade — $4,000

• Greer Arts & Eats Festival — $36,000

• Foothills Philharmonic Classically Casual Concert Season — $12,000

• Greer Farmer’s Market — $9,465

• Greer Heritage History Museum Gallery Expansion — $10,995

• Day of the Dead/Dia De Los Muertos — $10,650

• 2026 Freedom Blast — $18,757.50

Advertising grants

• Greer Arts & Eats Festival — $49,637.21

• Greer Parks Recreation & Tourism’s Discover advertisement vacation guide — $11,000

• Greer Parks Recreation & Tourism’s Discover print visitor guide — $2,250

• Greer Cultural Arts Council’s advertisement of season play — $3,000

• Greer Parks Recreation & Tourism’s advertisement, International Festival — $2,550

• Greer Parks Recreation & Tourism’s advertisement, 2026 Freedom Blast — $2,550

Council’s only funding change was to take $16,000 from the Greer Arts & Eats Festival’s programming grant and award $12,000 to the Foothills Philharmonic and $4,000 to the Greer Christmas Parade.
