Greenville Tech Foundation received a grant from the Bosch Community Fund to purchase an IMEC-200 Complete Mechanical Training System.
The new training system will be used to train the next generation of manufacturing professionals in the college’s Center for Manufacturing Innovation. Roula Andonakis, program manager of the Bosch Community Fund, said the Greenville Tech Foundation shares their dedication to supporting high-quality STEM education and promoting career opportunities.
“We’re proud to partner with an organization that is helping students in the Greenville area gain the skills to have a rewarding career in manufacturing,” Andonakis said.

The IMEC-200 system will be used by students in the college’s mechatronics and the Bachelor of Applied Science in Advanced Manufacturing programs. Greenville Technical College has seen increasing enrollment in both programs.
Students will receive hands-on training with industry standard components to develop skills in mechanical assembly, alignment, drive systems and troubleshooting. The IMEC-200 system replicates real-world manufacturing conditions to give students practical experience.
“We are incredibly grateful for the Bosch Community Fund’s generous donation, which will provide our students with hands-on knowledge and experience using the tools and technology they will encounter in the workforce,” said Willie Thompson, department head of mechatronics at Greenville Technical College.
