Crews are on the cusp of reaching full containment in the Table Rock Complex Fires.
The South Carolina Forestry Commission said there’s been some containment in the Table Rock Complex fires. The Forestry Commission said they’ve reached 30% at Table Rock and 64% at Persimmon Ridge.
On March 29, the fire crews gained a level of containment at Persimmon Ridge for the first time. On March 30, they began containment at Table Rock.

They don’t have an estimation of complete containment and call it "a long, arduous process."
The fires haven’t grown, according to the Forestry Commission. The Table Rock fire burned 12,592 acres, while the Persimmon Ridge fire burned 2,078.
The Forestry Commission said crews will work to ensure that the portions of the fire can’t grow again if conditions dry again.
The forestry commission said the rain over the weekend helped fire crews approach the flames and slowed fire growth. For the next several days, the crews will focus on sweeping up the flames after they created a fire break this previous weekend.
The Table Rock Complex Fire was declared the largest mountain wildfire in South Carolina's history, surpassing the 2016 Pinnacle Mountain Fire, which was 10,623 acres. On Sunday, the Forestry Commission lifted a burn ban for 41 counties in S.C., leaving just five counties on the list: Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, and Horry County.
