"It aims to expand the park, accommodating Project Vista and fostering regional economic growth," according to Burriss Nelson, Director of Economic Development.

The project involves constructing an 80,000-square-foot spec building, with an additional 60,000 square feet planned.

The designated property for Project Vista is located on Hampton Road, where construction commenced 12 months ago, Nelson said.

Nelson said Project Vista is adding the same buildings and land approved into this multi-county park agreement.

As a result, when jobs are created there, they may have the opportunity to garner incentive opportunities from the Department of Commerce, Nelson said.

The front of the property will feature a 30-foot landscape buffer, which is about 20 percent greater than the standard buffer yard, Nelson said.
