Travis Hunter Wins Heisman

Travis Hunter has won the Heisman for 2024.
The two-way phenom beat out three other contenders: Aston Jeanty, Dillon Gabriel, and Cam Ward.
Hunter is the first two-way star to win the award since Charles Woodson in 1997.
For many fans, Hunter was a runaway winner, and many fans were eager to see if the panel would be fair.
“All you have to do is look at the footage,” said Norman Hardin. Naturally, the team of each contestant was rooting for their man. However, the typical viewer might more easily be impartial in assessing the winner.
It must be admitted, said Jim Bush, “all the nominees were outstanding and deserved honorable mention.”
The Heisman Committee did a good job of putting a spotlight on these leading college football stars. In fact, without the Heisman, many fans would not have known about some of the contestants or remembered previous winners.
