Travis Hunter, Endless Energy?

TRAVIS HUNTER, leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy, was questioned this weekend by a panel of sports commentators about his energy.

ree

How do you prepare for games? Do you rest up and take breaks since you play on both sides of the ball even during practice drills.

No.  Even the coach asks me to rest up a bit and save energy some for the game.  I practice right on through each snap, each drill. During practice I play 100% of the time.  That doesn’t bother me.

What is included in your game prep?

I’m sure to watch at lease 10 hours of film so I can be well acquainted with the opposition. I need to be abreast of all their moves.

Do you prefer playing offense or defense?

I’ve been playing both sides of the ball so long that it’s natural for me. I learned to do this from the beginning.  I don’t know another way to roll. I’ve always trained for it.

Hunter is the only college football player in history who averages playing 114 plays a game. Thus far in the season, he already has 8 touchdowns.  No wonder he is the leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy.
