More free food is available at the Food Pantry at Greer Relief

Volunteers garnered $7,000 in grants and 3,000 pounds of food for their food pantry. That results in more shelves, a larger space, and more food delivery to hungry citizens.

September was a busy month at Greer Relief — and our volunteers did it all, from keeping the Choice Pantry running day after day to helping at community events. Imagine 111 volunteers contributed an incredible 896 hours of service.

Tom Condor, outreach coordinator, said in a statement to volunteers, “Because of you, we celebrated one of our most successful Golf for Relief fundraisers ever. You also helped raise vital funds, food, and awareness at events like Greer Alive!, Tidal Wave Auto Spa’s Charity Day, Hopper Financial’s 10th Anniversary Celebration, and The Bridge Church’s Fall Festival.”

With that kind of zeal and commitment,  Greer Relief has thrived for 89 years.
