What a logjam.
Five high school basketball teams are tied for first place. So ended the regular season.
Now the showdown to find the winner. Soon the tournament will be on. Are you ready to rumble?

Playoff seed projections for Region 3-AAA high school boys basketball teams headed into Tuesday night’s games were complicated. It was an if-then equation with eight scenarios. Union County, Woodruff, Mountain View Prep, Greer Middle College and Broome all had 5-4 records.
“Never seen anything like it,” Union County coach Mitchell Moss said.
Woodruff beat Union County, 46-37. MVP beat GMC, 53-37.
But the real winner was Broome.
The Centurions beat Chapman, 78-71 – took it to overtime, fittingly, to stretch out the drama as much as possible – and won a three-way tiebreaker for a predetermined No. 1 overall seed of the Upper State playoffs beginning Feb. 18.
Official brackets from the SCHSL are expected to be released Saturday.

Region 3 still has much to settle. Woodruff and MVP will have a tiebreaker game later this week for the No. 6 and No. 7 overall seeds. Union County and Greer Middle College will have a tiebreaker game for No. 12 and No. 14 seeds.
Chapman will get the No. 16 seed.
