Immigration Protesters Were Out in Force Sunday Afternoon on Main Street in Greenville

Dozens of Spanish-speaking protestors marched and drove down Main Street, honking horns, waving flags, and holding signs in Spanish and English.

One sign said, “My mother works here, and I’m a resident.”

Whole families were in cars and trucks in a peaceful and often festive spirit. Another sign said, “What lessens one of us lessens all of us.”
The peaceful protest started shortly before 1 pm and lasted beyond 2 pm. By that time, there were no incidents reported.
