Upstate HS girls stars in soccer and softball playoffs
Here are the Upstate’s top performers in girls high school athletics for the week of May 5-11, including the start of the playoffs for softball and soccer. Check back throughout the week for updates.

Sophie Duzan, Pickens: Duzan had seven strikeouts against Wren.
Wednesday
Softball
Leah Taylor, Dorman: Taylor scored three runs and had four RBIs in Dorman's 11-0 win over Dutch Fork
Tuesday
Soccer
Tori Segarra, Byrnes: Segarra scored two goals in Byrnes' 5-1 victory over Dutch Fork in round 1 of the SCHSL playoffs.
Makayla Webb, Dorman: Webb had 14 saves in a 3-2 win over Wade Hampton.
Meghan Noonan, St. Joseph’s Catholic: Noonan scored two goals against Crescent.
Bella Ballenger, Blue Ridge: Ballenger scored two runs and five RBIs in Blue Ridge's 13-1 win over Daniel in the SCHSL playoffs.
Softball
Bethany Brown, Fountain Inn: Brown scored two runs in 4-2 win over Camden in first round of the SCHSL playoffs.
Bella Ballenger, Blue Ridge: Ballenger scored two runs and had five RBIs.
Sayde Parris, Boiling Springs: Parris had four RBIs in Boiling Springs' 17-3 win over Rock Hill.
Allie Simpson, Boiling Springs: Simpson had six strikeouts against Rock Hill.

Kellyn Kingston, Wade Hampton: Kingston had eight strikeouts in a 6-2 win over Boiling Springs in round 1 of the SCHSL playoffs.
Natalie Regan, Riverside: Regan scored four runs and had four RBIs in Riverside's 16-8 win over Hillcrest.
