Free mulch delivered on a dime

Who says nothing is free? Duke Energy contracted with an independent contractor to trim neighborhood trees away from power lines, leading to a good opportunity for many who do their own yard work.

I found a notice in my front door, saying that I could ask for the chips after the tree trimming.

I asked the crew to kindly dump me a load of chips.  A few days later, someone had marked a line across my lawn, leading to my water meter.

Later, a crew came and asked me where I wanted them to dump my mulch.  I showed them the spot, and they dropped the mulch on a dime.

Now all I need is a few hearty volunteers to come spread it for me.  I know I cannot ask for everything.  But does pretty please entice you?
