11 Arrested in Child Sex Exploitation Operation
GREENVILLE, S.C.
The Greenville Police Department, in partnership with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Human Trafficking Unit, conducted a two-day child sex exploitation operation on April 9 and April 10.
As part of the operation, investigators established an
online presence across multiple internet
platforms to identify and apprehend individuals
attempting to engage in sexual activity with
minors.
Officers participating in the operation received
specialized training and support from
Covenant Rescue Group.
The operation resulted in 11 arrests, the issuance of 37 warrants, three ICE detainers, and one
parole violation. Additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation remains ongoing.
