GREENVILLE, S.C. — The investigation continues into the police ambush that occurred Sunday at the Greenville Detention Center on McGee St. The officer was seated in his patrol car when he was shot multiple times. The suspect fled in his car immediately following the shooting. The Greenville County Coroner’s office identified the suspect as David William Lane, 42, and ruled his death a suicide.
